8/26/20- my 26th Arko shave of August- on track to finish the month. But, I am weakening and looking forward to other soaps.

Today's shave was a two-pass DFS, close enough result, with no nicks- 9/10
Soap: Arko stick + Arko Extra Sensitive cream combo lather; creamy yet slick
Brush: Ever-Ready 52c; a very small vintage brush I found in a box of my assorted shave stuff.
Razor: Ever-Ready Streamline (I forgot to put it in the pic)
Blade: Gen PTFE (9) now retired- I should have changed this blade out when I started, but it started tugging a lot on the second pass and was rough on my chin ATG.
AS: Lucky Tiger- to take care of the roughness in the second pass.

Arko on the down-low 3rd shave
Not much to say except that was an excellent shave. Arko's lather is top notch.

Another Arko shave in the books. I have Arko dialed in it does well with the Marco Method, I get great shaves with this method!

Nice. The badger brush is coming along well and seems to make effortless lather - and lots of it. After the first face-lathering pass, with the SOC Taj looking on wistfully in the background:

Arko'ed this morning. Shave stick smushed into an OS mug, and lathered with an oldie ( but a goodie ) Shea Moisture Badger brush. Went after the resulting lather with my RR SLOC and a Gillette Perma-sharp blade and had a most excellent shave.

The Shea Moisture is floppy as all get-out but even with that, the Arko performed admirably.

Am I the only one that appreciates how perfectly the Arko bowl loads a splayed brush? It wraps around the puck just so; nothing but perfect.
Shave was too.

Hm, Maggards timberwolf, Ti95OC, 4711 boosted with glycerin.

I admit my Arko will chill, down low, in the basement soap refrigerator for a while after August. Even the Arko guy likes a siesta.

Hybrid lather Arko / sandalwood mistura / copper bowl
After witch hazel triple: rose toner, alco-hops, Stirling super mix vetiver+menthol toners

That new knot in the Solid Set - bed head or bad hair day? The mistura knot in the other brush may be skritchy, but the badger and boar hairs have at least all agreed that straight is the best way.

I cut up two Arko sticks into my Marvy mug for Arko Augus. Well I’m a 3017er so I’ll probably be using Arko until the new year, I’m fine with that.
