I knew someone here would have the answer. It was the wings that threw me. I have to say I love my Aristocrats #'s 16,20 and 21. But shows you learn something new every day. As you say getting pricey. Glad I have mine save and sound in the 'den'
Thats what I thought but checking with Mr Razor his #15 has no end caps! Logo on case is also different. But could be a variation?
Its a 1938 (ish) #15 British Aristocrat in the correct case. I have 2 exactly the same. Nice to see they are worth so much........
Hi Porter
What I meant was that side on the one on the bay is different to the one on Mr Razors site and your advert. ie it is open. If that is the wings then yes missingskin clarified it for me.
I think the one on ebay was in an American-Anglo case as they were 29 Shillings?
Sorry everyone I meant wings. But am I correct in thinking that the one that was sold today is different to the one on Mr Razor's site which led to my initial confusion and the reason I started the thread!!
Gather you have a few, I am still looking to fill a couple of gaps but think I am going to have to pay major money. I am looking for an Anglo-American one. But have more chance of finding hens teeth.......
I think a member here recently managed to get hold of an Anglo-American (CopierGuy, Mark?). He said he had been looking for ages. Rhodium Aristocrats are getting pricey so took the view that the #15 and #20 are similar just different cases - well thats how I squared it and saved some money after all it is only Jan 10th and Christmas has only just passed Hope a member here got it.
If they have a pair I'll have the other!
Not me but somebody did, not sure if it was Tom or not - try a thread search. There is a couple in the hands of members - but only a couple.
