Hello, I recently picked up a 46-47 vintage Aristocrat at an antique shop for $3.00.......It was a little rough but after a good cleaning, I ended up with a pretty nice piece. It does have 2 problems that I would like to fix if possible......one of the end caps is slightly loose on one side. Also, the TTO knob has alot of play in the open position and does not operate smoothly unless upward pressure is applied while turning.
Is there a way to re-attach the end cap? And, Can the TTO knob be removed to check for a missing retainer ring?........I have seen threads on removing the knob on a SS but never on an Aristocrat. It appears to be part of a shaft/tube that runs a couple of inches up the razor handle.
Any help would be appreciated!
