What's new

Aristocrat OC identification required

My "new" Aristocrat OC arrived today & I am not quite sure what I have bought, as it doesn't exactly match anything on Mr Razor's site. The razor is rhodium plated & is identical to the Aristocrats from the #14, or #15 set except there are no codes on the handle of my razor, just "Brit Pat 430030" & "Made in England" under the head. The box the razor came in is identical to the one shown for the "Anglo American", but the razor in that set has completely different knurling.

The razor is in great shape & hardly looks to have been used, which is good, as it was far from inexpensive! Here is the listing for my Aristocrat:

It is a #15 - nice one too.

I've seen (got?) one in that box before. There are a couple of variants some with the markings on the banding on the handle some not. There are also two variations on the centre bar.

Great OK razor - enjoy!

It's just a later version of the First Generation No. 15 set. They seem to have dropped the handle inscriptions in the later years. Here's mine that also has the 29/- price on the carton:

Porter, that case looks too small and the handle is pressing against the case wall.$no15_aristocrat.jpg

The case took a ding in that side back towards the hinge that pushes the side of the case in slightly behind the razor.

Thanks for confirming that my Aristocrat is a #15, I have been on the lookout for one of these for a while. It really is in great condition, better than the Ebay pictures show. I can't wait to give it a run out during OCtober!

Nice razors fella's. If I had a #15 I would use it for OCtober. I don't suppose anyone has an extra laying around.......
