Aristocrat 1948 end cap fix

I have a 48' crat that the end caps have fallen off. (I actually bought it this way) so am I better off trying to remove the solder or try to find replacements?
If removing solder, then what is the best, safest way. If replace, then what is a source for said end caps?

You might contact Dave at Restored Razors, he might have a pair of them. I recall him mentioning he had a drawer full of parts for Aristocrats. I think his user name here is Onotoman. (I'm not sure of the spelling. )
