Are Wilkinson Sword DE Blades Good or Not Really?

I have the german made ones and love then. Smooth sharp blades that are very forgiving. The only downside is that they aren't cheap and little difficult to get a hold of.

I put them in the serviceable camp. I like them much better than Derby blades, but not as well as Feathers or 7 o'clock Gillettes (yellow).

I'd definitely use them without any problem if I couldn't find my preferred blades.

An interesting question as these are the only blades available in my local supermarket (they actually stock SOME DE blades!). Still working through my sample pack though so no need to have to try them yet.

Sadly, the Wilkinsons in Australian supermarkets are the Brazilian made ones. Awful things IMO, but YMMV.

The English make I have are good and long lasting........I manage over 25 shaves/blade each time.Yes,they are good baldes.

Valuable information  I will make sure I keep plenty of my favourite in stock to prevent the need to buy those ones.

The ones I tried, labeled Made in Germany were, for me, very rough. Next worse blade I ever used, compared to the lowly Shogun. Everything else I have tried was markedly better - even the BICs were better for me.

I even bought a second pack several months later, as I thought perhaps my technique had improved enough that I would get a better shave from them. No such luck.

The ones i buy here in the uk i find fine, though as i am always buying and using sample packs i dont use then that much but usually pick up a pack to throw in with samples and used them about 2 months ago and had good shaves with them.

I'm using the German ones because they're obviously readily available. I'm happy when the rest of them is used. It's not that they're that dull. With blades like Personna (red Asian), Derby, Gillette Super Silver, and Feather I'm really all too pampered.

I have used the "White Label" ones (made in Germany I think).

My experience is that it depends on the razor. In the Wilkinson Sword Classic they just "didn't cut it". In the HD they work very well, not the closest shave but they are very forgiving. I can just go for it and not get a single cut, pretty impressive.

I can get the "German Made" Wilkinsons locally from a supermarket no less.

The results have been good using my HD or SuperSpeeds etc.

Great blade with a great price.

I've used the Indian-made Wilkinson blades which have "Better Shave Every Time" written on them. The packaging is blue, with a red stripe and some water droplets. I have not used the German or UK versions, but I find these Indian-made blades to be good.

I've only been DE shaving for a couple of months, so not a lot of experience to go on. But out of the blades that I have tried I find that the Derby's and the Indian Wilks to be more forgiving than the yellow or green 7 O'Clocks that I've tried.

If you can find these particular blades don't hesitate to try them. I paid $1.70 for a 5-pack from a local shop.

The classic ones made today are pretty poor IMO. The NOS UK blades are great but hard to find.
Anyway, you will have to try them out for yourself to know what they are for you since that is the only thing that counts, really!
