Are AoS Soaps Triple Milled?

I've started using the AoS sandalwood and have been happy with the product. I do, however, notice that it is noticeably softer than my triple milled English soaps (Trumpers & Penhaligon's) and even softer than the CADE soap. If I push my thumb into the soap hard enough, it will leave a marked thumbprint. It's not Cella, but it does not really come off to me as triple milled. I would even consider it softer than my vintage puck of OS.

This isn't so much a complaint about the product so much as curiosity--wondering if it's not triple milled, whether this is what is considered "triple milled" in Italian soapmaking or whether the high tallow content prevents the hardness that I find in other soaps.

I always thought it was. It's one of the last tallow based and I think it's my best performer. The Sandalwood Soap is my #1.

Sam,

I don't believe AoS or Valobra soaps are triple milled. If you look at Valobra's website it appears the bars are well aged which is why they are still fairly hard, but there is a noticeable difference between Valobra made soaps and Trumper's, Penhaligon's or Harris.
