Aqua velva Musk

I was the winning bidder on ebay for a 3.5oz bottle at $2.24Is it as good as the Ice Blue?
It doesn't have menthol in it. The scent is obviously different and lasts much longer than the Ice Blue. It's as much a cologne as an aftershave but still contains glycerin. Out of all the AV's, SWMBO likes this best but she's not a huge fan of AV.
I like to dilute it with 1 part witch hazel to 3 parts Musk and then the scent is more like an aftershave.
We're lucky here in Canada, we can pick up 6.8 oz bottles of AV for less than $5.00 at almost any store.

Depends on what you like. I like it a lot. But I like Aqua Velva Ice Blue a lot more, its really in a class all by itself. But then I am one of the freaks that love this stuff and think its better than stuff that sells for $200.00 a bottle - and in many cases it is because of its menthol and glycerin content. Its better for your skin.

I love Ice Blue, the Musk I tried once. I couldn't wash it off fast enough. The smell was horrid!!
AV Ice Blue is a classic for a reason, the stuff is great. AV Musk suffers because it is too musky...just over-powering. I also couldn't wash it off fast enough.
I guess I'm the odd man out as I prefer the Musk version, not to say the Ice Blue isn't good to wear.
I like both of them. Musk is great.
+1 I just used the musk for the first time the other night and SWMBO said I smelled "yummy!"
I picked up a couple of bottles of the musk AV in glass bottles, around $5.00 each. Now I'm going to have to try some!
AV Musk is great stuff. It's not a menthol bomb like the blue AV, but it's good stuff for the price.

I bought a bottle on a whim a few months ago but have not been able to bring myself to actually wear it. When I got it home I tried a little on the back of my hand as a test and found it to smell "cheap". It really kind of epitomized the cheap aftershave smell to me. Images of 1970s used car salesmen types in plaid suits and white shoes and belts came instantly to mind (my apologies to any actual used car salesmen out there).
I guess one of these days I'll have to actually put it on my face, but every time I go to give it a try I am repelled by its cheap smell.

The Musk is STRONG don't apply as much as you would use with Ice blue.

such a weird item to have to buy on eBay, considering it's carried in just about every drug and grocery store in my area.. but I know that it's not always the case. I know we don't have the Green AV like Canada does...
I like it OK, but the stuff is pretty strong. A little really goes a long way.
Agreed: AV Musk is a "cologne strength + " AS. My solution: get a cheap atomizer ($1.99 for a 3 oz version at Sally Beauty) and spray it on. Much easier to control the doseage that way!
almost worth decanting into a larger container and adding a bit of water to cut it down.
