Aqua Lavanda

WOW!!! I received some Aqua Lavanda Puig yesterday for my birthday and absolutely LOVE it!!! My wife and I are big Sinatra fans, so I figured if it was good enough for the Chairman of the Board, I should give it a go. Stopped my Max Sprecher Custom 13/16, some DR Harris lavender, Aqua Lavanda splash followed by some Aqua Lavanda colonge. My wife can't stop smelling me, and that's never a bad thing. I was wondering how many others have tried this great product from Spain.

I may have only a few colognes, but Agua Lavanda rocks. I love lavender and Sinatra, so I had to have it!

I too love Sinatra and Aqua Lavanda Puig. This was the cologne that Francis Albert used after Yardley discontinued his favorite, Yardley English Lavender Water for Men, which Sinatra wore for years. Sinatra switched to Yardley Black Label around 1960 or so when the company discontinued English Lavender Water For Men. Black Label was not dissimilar from ELWFM, but was a bit stronger with more of an edge to it. Sinatra then switched to Aqua Lavanda Puig when Yardley pulled the plug on Black Label. Sinatra disliked strong colognes, as well as the overuse of colognes. He always said the only person who should smell a man's cologne is his woman when he's holding her close.

Incidentally, the English Lavender that Yardley makes today is a quite different cologne from English Lavender Water for Men, it's a sweeter and more feminine scent.

A marvelous fragrance. The more I use it, the more I like it. I like a close fragrance and this fills the bill for me.

La Tienda in Williamsburg, (tienda.com) VA usually has the glass bottles in stock, otherwise the plastic shampoo bottle version is serviceable, a little weaker, but still worth getting... frankly it needs to come in 55 gallon drums.
