April Photo Challenge: Doorways and entrances

This month’s theme is doorways and entrances. Plenty of scope for shooting at your home, down the road, or further afield. I’m thinking cute wooden doors, rusty hinges, barn doors, cave entrances etc. Use your imagination and good luck!

• the winner of the previous month's challenge picks a new theme and starts the thread.
• You must be the photographer.
• One entry per month.
• Try and make the image a recent one, within reason.
• The competition/challenge/assignment runs until the 24th of the Month.
• Voting runs from the 25th to the 29th.
• The person with the most votes is the winner.

Nice picture and the whole area is so clean! Nowhere in our city would a public area be so free of litter.

You didn't say which country

If the UK I'd guess Hampton Court Palace. Might be somewhere in D.C. too. Looks familiar but that's red sandstone rather than bricks.

Not my capital, either! It's the Smithsonian. I took a photo, much wider, from just inside those gates, in 1998...
