These travel shave kits are like magnets to me. I love them. Here are my recent buys. All but one is Made in England, the other three come with English Gillette’s. I’m a newb, so don’t know what they are.

I've had a couple of scores so far this month. My favorite score is an RFB, #44. Also just received a Rudy Vey 24mm Shavemac finest. I need to polish the RFB, that's not brassing in the pics. It's going to polish up & look like new!

best score i've had in a while, though it's definitely far from the cheapest. Found it on Local sales site, and the wife was nice enough to let me get it as an early graduation gift.

My Stirling Ozark Mountain and Arkadia EDT's arrived today along with a Timeless Razor Pineapple handle. I'll be using the Arkadia tonight along with the Timeless handle and my new Truefitt and Hill Apsley set.

My first order of Murphy and McNeil showed up, Ouroboros. This smells fantastic, I opened the jar and my coworker from across the room commented on how great it smells. I can't wait to try it. I also ordered some more Thayers, this time the medicated version. Lastly, 3 tucks of Feather Pro blades arrived so I'm good for blades for a while.

I haven’t been buying anything for years, but lately I have started selling a lot of my stones and regrets have made me watch eBay for deals. Got a couple this week. First was a 10x2 boxed and labeled natural combo at a price that made me scramble to find the catch before someone beat me to it. There wasn’t one so I clicked bin and paid and shortly after the seller messaged me lamenting that he must have underpriced it as it sold so fast. I must have seen it in the first few minutes. Sometimes luck is on my side.

It’s a nice thick natural combo with a stamp, and a stamped box from the importer. Doesn’t seem terribly old, I’d guess 40s-70s from the box. Clearly was used with oil, probably with knives based on the scrapes. Very fast stone with a good but quite normal coticule edge. Extremely comfortable shave but doesn’t leave you shocked at how sharp it was (has that trademark coticule Velcro sound). The surface does need smoothed though so it may change a bit following that.

The other was a vintage butterscotched Simpson Keyhole 2 with the golden badger hair that seems to date a brush to the 60s or older. Nice brush if you’re down for an ultra-soft badger (nothing modern really compares to old high end badger for softness)... not my cup of tea for face lathering though I admit the endless supply of lather it holds is nice.

Came in a nice mahogany box with a bone toothbrush and a few combs as well as an old Williams puck.

Just looked up the stamp. Lab supplies company. Funny. I bought this stone to replace a 10x2 I sold that was labeled for microtome sharpening. That stone was absolutely stunning looking, beautifully hard and fine, one of the best coticules id ever seen and BY FAR the best anywhere near that size. So this is hardly a replacement, still it helps salve the wound selling that gem left me with.

You should let me know how yours compares to the one i found yesterday. mine looks like a KH1, but it's got the old orange hair/golden hair. It's not as large as the ones that have found a permanent home in my rotation, but hand lathering it yesterday showed those amazing soft tips.

I found a local lot, someone selling a few items, and ended up picking them all up for less than $10 apiece. I was content with the purchase, and probably would have been happy to spend the full price on either the stone or the brush...though there may have been someone i'm close to who would have been less than pleased :)
