What's new

Applied too much Cologne. What to do?

Was trying out a sample of the YSL velitner decanted into a sample tube. Ended up dumping nearly half the 1 oz tube on my chest. I now reek. Is there something I can do to neutralize the excess fragrance?

Take your shirt off and run around outside for a couple of hours. If you can still feel your skin after this you probably won't even notice the scent any more $smiley_ROFLMAO.gif

Try rinsing the area with soap and water, if practical.

Applying a lotion on top of it might also help to "dampen" the scent. I've found that applying moisturizer over a potent a/s splash reduces the sillage of the fragrance, although it might also lock in the scent closer to the skin.

If you've gotten the scent on your shirt, change into a different shirt, if you can.

Beyond that, give it time.

Some colognes will wash off, but not usually the ones you want to remove. Try as many different soaps as you have available.

easy. Shower, but also remember to put your clothes in the wash - basically, anything that may have come into contact with the offending juice, so undergarments, shirts, that sort of thing.

I would fold a paper towel and wet it under the sink , wring out the water and scrub where you spilled that vetiver . If the paper towel smells, then it's working. It not, you could always try out as an extra for Jersey Shore!
