What's new

Apparently we are all just a bunch of shave snobs...

A "dumb shaving snob", no less. He sounds very angry. Must have had some kind of bad experience on a forum, probably not B&B.

That was an interesting review. I suppose his argument could be made of most any hobby/sport. It all depends on what you consider important or what you enjoy.

And so we all have our personal, but not private, internet-corner to vent our opinions. Isn't the WWW the greatest.....

Wow, he's a little pissed off.

That kit was actually the first kit I bought.

Only because it was available 2 blocks from me at CVS and I wanted to shave NOW.

It's NOT the best brush or soap out there. I'm sorry, it's not.

If I were stuck somewhere without my brush 'n any soaps would I buy it again in pinch? YUP!

You get the feeling this guy has "anger issues".:001_rolle

As for his opinion of shaving snobs I don't find that attitude within the B&B family.

Look at the many positive posts about bargains, bang for the buck products and encouraging newbies to find low cost items to start out with.

People who've actually invested over a hundred dollars in particular...

Haha... Like spending $100 is the measure of a shaving snob. Count me as a snob times 50!

I hope he doesn't ever spend $100 on dinner for whatever girl wants to date a Whiskey Tango... or else he'll be one of those weird gourmet France-lovin' food snobs.

My mother told me that If I can't say something nice about someone
then I shouldn't say anything at all.....and that has just been a day or
three ago....so I will just leave it at that.....
I have been a proud member of B&B for just a couple of months and can
say that there haven't been a better bunch of guys and gals....albeit they
are a tad younger than I am.....Helpful to a fault, and believe it or not,
some of the most caring people that you would ever want to meet... and
that is all I have to say about that!!!!!

I'm willing to bet that you can get a DFS from the Walmart stuff and I have absolutely no problem with that. I also admit that I enjoy the "snobbery" of my small collection of vintage Gillettes and the idea that I make my own handles for knots that I buy on-line. I think the Walmart brush, et.al, may be a good thing to use for my travel brush. Certainly nothing to get as worked up over as that guy is.

If being here means I'm a "shaving snob" so be it...I'm proud to be one, however, I prefer the term "shaving connoisseur"...

He said that people have 'invested' $100+ on shaving stuff. It really all depends on the definition of investment, but anybody who has been shaving for more than a year or two has invested that and then some. Even the peach fuzz young ones need a razor handle and the occasional cart refills.
