Anything that smells like Proraso Sensitive?

Can anybody recommend a soap that as a similar scent as Proraso sensitive (the aloe vera soft soap in the white tub)? I love the smell but the performance is not very good compared to Tabac and Palmolive.

thanks!

I recall a post where someone described the scent as "the guts inside a pumpkin"...

I for one, dont mind the smell...but I know it leaves some men cold

To me it's the nicest shaving soap scent I have yet encountered; very "Wellness" so to speak. Also, the slight menthol content feels great on the skin. Anyway, this morning I shaved with a fresh Gillette Super Thin in my Gillette Parat, together with Proraso Sensitive and I had the best shave to date. I Used little water this time while picking up soap with my New Forest 2201 and added a few drops during face lathering. The lather created this way was very protective. So much so that I was wondering is I was actually cutting anything. Performance wise this soap is not too bad after all :w00t:. Previously I was just using too much water.

First shave with Proraso Sensitive this morning :thumbup1:

As-dry-as-I-could-get-it Shavemac brush, load said brush with soap, lather in my large Moss Scuttle, adding water as needed. (40's SS with Iridium).

Great shave, smooth face -- alum always helps -- love the eye-opening face tingle on a Monday morning.

I did not care for the "original" Proraso; love the "sensitive".

Hate the smell of pumpkin guts, especially burned-out jack-o-latern innards ---- nothing wrong with the Sensitive scent at all, to me.

My suggestion is to use the Proraso white jar pre-shave. Then use a high performance soap or cream that has little or no scent.

I myself can't discern much difference between it and Santa Maria Novella. Some on B&B have noted that they share the same Italian manufacturer.

SMN and Proraso do have the same manufacturer. Ludovico Martelli produces both and this info was given to me directly by the Martelli company.
