Anything beside pre shave oil?

Hello gentlemen,

I have an extremely thick beard and wanted to know if there was some sort of product out there other than the obvious pre shave oil and hot towel prep you gentlemen used to soften up the beard.

Yes I usually always take a shower before and wash my face as well. Just didn't know if there was something really great like perhaps Musgo Real Glycerin Lime Oil Soap for example.

Olive oil (pretty much a pre-shave oil, I guess), shower, witch hazel, soap/cream (let it sit for a minute or two on the beard), sharp blade. In that order.
