Just scored this (my first vintage bar of soap) from the great 50’s and it smells awesome. I am currently fighting the urge to use it. Anyone else out there scoring vintage soaps and do you use them?

I would be tempted to use the soap as it was made to be used.
I have, but only run of the mill grocery store shelf stuff. If I had to guess, maybe 80s. Real tallow makes one hell of a difference, though.

I smell like a Christmas pudding
Not sure of the age but I have used these that I got from a charity shop; they have aged very well and perform excellently. Would anyone have any idea of a date for these?
I'm no expert on soap packaging, but given that the royal warrants say Elizabeth II (became queen in 1952) and "the late" Queen Mary (died in 1953), they are no older than 1953 and likely from the middle of the 1950s. The packaging and artistic style seems to confirm this, too. My gut says they're from about 1957.
