What's new

Anyone try putting liqueur in there drinks on occasion?

So just came back from an anniversary dinner with the wife and there on the menu was Coffee with Bailey's, Kahlua, and Frangelica(?). I was thinking how good this actually sounded.
Cheers!

I've been known to but only occasionally. One of my favs is Grand Marnier. I like a creamier coffee and a a little GM is great. Liqueur or liquor - there are lots of good options. You might check out Irish Coffee on the wikipedia.

Now that does sound good. As with everything else in coffee there has to be a balance. As for me I like my coffee almost black with just a tint of creamer so with this it would be a drop ot two for flavor. Thanks!

I do it sparingly but Baileys and Coffee is delicious. Its a Christmas tradition to have one after dinner.

Never tried an amaretto in coffee but im guessing that would be good too.

Everything in moderation. For me it's always around the holiday's that I do this also.

My favorite pizza joint has a drink called the Hummingbird which consists of Strongbow cider and Framboise. My better half subs the Strongbow with Woodchuck and it is delicious. Both of the ciders are on tap which makes them that much better with the Woodchuck being the best. When I read the post, the first thing that came to mind was a White Russian and anything that's good enough for the Dude is good enough for me.

Irish coffee is the only way to go, but to be honest, I just put some scotch in the coffee and float a little whipped cream on top. No sugar or sweetener.

Hmm, I can't tell you how jealous I am that you actually have a pizza joint with 2 ciders on tap.

Baileys and coffee hits the spot on a cold winter morning.
+1.
This is one those true treats that I look forward to on Christmas holiday. Like fruits and vegetables used to be seasonal so are these winter treats.
