What's new

Anyone here use Yardley English Lavender?

I'm curious about this fragrance since it's arguably the basis for English fern scents, predating them, along with the fougeres of France by a few years. Anybody use it or can compare it to the ferns from Trumpers and Penhaligons?

Yardley still make it too, at a very reasonable price. It's been reformulated through the ages, but apparently the current version holds up well.

I find the Yardley Lavender okay, but a tad feminine. It doesn't smell anything like Trumper's Wild Fern to me.

By way of contrast, Aqua Di Parma's Lavanda Tonica smells 90% like the Yardley one, but is unambiguously masculine to any female who I've had sniff it.
Regards,
Renato
