Here I thought I was going to snag it cheap. Waiting to snipe it at $30 and in the last 20 seconds it jumped to the ending price

I snagged one in jade a few months back for pretty near what you were going to snipe.
Have we gone topsy turvy? Are we all so good at finding and bidding on those that are misdescribed and 'under the radar', that we've forgotten that they can also be found by searching their proper names?

I was watching it too, & even though I didn't care for the case, thought it would be cool to have. I'll keep waiting & watching I guess

Apparently so. It literally went up by .50 a bid until the last 30 sec. So I'm sitting there thinking I'm about to steal it. Apparently it didn't go unnoticed by people with MUCH more money to spend.

I think I got into this game too late as the bargains are few and far between anymore. I've managed to snag a $25 fatboy and a pristine $10 SS but everything else has went through the roof.

Alex, you got a deal, but that is not the same case. Achim has a picture of the Milady Coral up on his site. They are quite rare, thus the price. Tho the set on eBay dos not appear to have the original outer box.

This is a very nice razor and sought after for it's shaving ability and it's collectable value as well. It is a New De Luxe in a neat package that won't degrade like the velvet lined cases. I don't have this set but it is on my short list. I was watching this set but after just finishing a round of golf I was tired and just went to bed early before the auction finished. I would not have bid this high for this set but I would have gone over $100. The noobies looking for a different razor to try don't know this but the collector's do. If it an especially nice set it won't make it under the radar. One sold earlier this week for a little above $40. But it wasn't in great shape but will still make a good shaver.
