Has anyone here gone for this FS brush but with a silver tip knot? Have asked Ian Tang if it can be done and he's given me a price etc, but got to get my leave out of the way first. He said he's already done one a few weeks back. So anyone here?

It was worth an ask. For the money in £41 GBP it's not too bad. But I'm hanging on to see what else I can go for in silver tip as it's my Birthday the end of Sept. So soaps frags and another brush? we'll see.

$70 for a frank shaving?

Don't get me wrong, the knot in your picture looks WAY better than they used to be. But $70 is well on your way to M&F and shavemac prices.

Yep, your right. As I say I'm hanging on for the time. It's 26mm silver tip though so that could be the price hike. Off to check shavemac now.

Also it's a chubby handle thing with me. Duke, case, Culmak spartan etc, etc.

That seems a tad expensive and the quality of the Silvertip brushes are not very good from what i have heard from others.
