Anyone have a scrap bowl?

Hey guys, ever since my green tub of Proraso got low, I've gotten into the habit of mashing soap samples into the center and I'm steadily building towards almost an entire puck again. It's an odd assortment, but the soap smells don't seem to conflict with each other and the performance is great. Anyone do this?

I do it.
Growing up, we would put left over pieces of bath soap in a coffee can and we kept it on the stove.
The soaps would melt and mix.
When the can was full dad or grandpa would cut the can into several slices and we would have 4 or 5 brand new bars of soap.
Funny thing; we never knew we were poor!

I also do that. I call it the "glob" Often face lather with it.

Did that with a couple of soaps I bought off EBAY. Gave it to my wife now she uses it for shaving her legs and she loves it.

I have mashed soap bars into tins that are almost empty. I'm more likely to only blend the old remainder and a new soap rather than adding leftover remnants until I have formed an entire new puck-sized piece of soap.

I push my scraps through an old garlic crusher to make soap "worms" which can then be easily combined as i like them to be as fully mixed as possible. My mix currently consists of Trumpers Violet, P160, Cella, Mitchell's Wool Fat and Truefitt & Hill (Lavender). It performs great and like you say, the scents (surprisingly) combine just fine.
