Anyone ever drink famous grouse 12 year and is it good?

As smooth as jw black?

Grouse is my "go to" blended Scotch. It has been ages since I sipped any other blend, so I don't really recall if it is smoother than Johnny Walker Black.
If you want really smooooth, try Mcallen 18.

I have had the FG 12 year old.

It's very nice, and a great deal. IMO MUCH better than JW black.

We tasted it blind at our Single Malt club last year, and while nobody could quite identify what it was it scored quite highly.
