What's new

Anyone else do this?

If this has already been discussed feel free to delete!

Anyone else pick out their soap (cream), razor or AS the night before and put them out on the sink? I normally pick things out in the late afternoon and sometimes end up changing it before I go to bed! I hope I’m not the only crazy one here! 🤣

I use a straight everyday. I miss my DE but cannot put the straight down. I recently decided to make Sunday my dedicated DE day. So Sun. afternoon or Monday I will set out a different DE and put it on the little stand where I can see it all week. It really builds anticipation or what ever and makes for a very enjoyable Sunday DE shave :)

But that way if you want to apply a scent in the morning you don't have to worry about the AS getting in the way.
PLus Osage rub and Lilac vegital says apply anytime and anywhere for all over the body freshness. So after shave at night and full body Lilac drench in the morning!

I have a bit of shavers OCD. I get my self ready the night before. I have to set it out in a particular way, I make decisions on which soap brush and razor and lay them out in what I consider the proper place. I am quite ritualistic about the whole deal.

There is only one fly in the ointment.... a thirteen year old daughter who shares my bathroom.
So where do you set it out? With a 13 yr old girl in the house, I cannot imagine there is room in the bathroom HAHA

Sometimes I do, if I want to upload a photo of the setup I want to use I definitely do.
But since I use a lot of samples photos are less visually interesting so I borrow the original product pics from the interweb regularly to provide some soap jar / as bottle porn for the addicts

So you get something like this

Sometimes I'll set out the cream or soap I plan on using, yes, and if the razor is one of those I keep in a separate cabinet and not on the sink counter, I'll take it out and set it next to the soap/cream. I reserve the right to change my mind, though.

No, but I understand where you are coming from. I use my soaps one at a time, so its sorta preordained. But in sorta the same vein I like to draw out/plan meals? And then when the time comes just execute.

Do you go as far as to draw out before grocery shopping, so as to buy "meals" as opposed to random stuff that fills cupboards but does not actually go together to make a meal? OH one of my peeves. All this stuff but nothing to put a meal together grrr LOL

I use only one type of balm and AS, so not really. And I shave in the evening :)

I do let my girlfriend pick a soap for my shave from my modest rotation (7 soaps)

Not really. Not if we're happily married. Or even unhappily married.

The only scented soap I use that doesn’t overpower sleepy lungs is ARKO! brand. I’ve got a sample of Southern Witchcrafts Samhain that smells even better (somehow…), but it chokes the air with its excellence.

The lady of my dreams is tougher than titanium, but sensitive to overpowering scents.

I’d be in trouble if I snuck a bowl of kimchi to snack on in bed at 3am again
