Anybody out there restore old straights?

Hello there,

I've been away from B&B for a while during which time I've acquired some old straights. i was wondering if anybody here has had a good experience with a member restoring a razor or if anybody reading this thread restores straights.

I give this thread about 30 minutes before it blows up with people singing the praises of some of the restorers here on B&B. I don't do restorations for other people, myself, but look out for (user names) GsSixgun, Leighton, Abrose, Aquanin, Ray-man, Seraphim (I don't know if he actually does restorations, but he works miracles with Gold Dollar razors), and several others I will later feel sorry I didn't mention.

There's a dedicated Restoration forum with numerous guys who do superlative work. You can look at their work and decide.

I don't think Ray-Man is offering blade restorations yet. He has expanded to making scales however.

Oh, I thought I saw a thread where he was showing off a restoration. Maybe I didn't read it carefully.

I know that if I was looking to have one of you guys restore a blade for me, my head would explode trying to pick between y'all. I'd have to have each of you restore one razor for me so I wouldn't feel bad about picking one over the others!

Instead I decided to try to learn how to do it myself. (I have a long way to go.)
