Anybody like to match razor country with soap's?

For instance, Merkur razor = Tabac soap, both German

Fatip razor = Proraso soap/cream, both Italian

USA-made razor, vintage or modern = USA-made soap

It seems like a fun thing to do, especially since we can (see the "How International Were You Today?" thread). Anybody else?

Alternatively, like the early hi-fi enthusiasts who prided themselves on matching components from different companies: Do you make a point of NOT matching soap and razor?

I do.

Fatip / Poraso & Cella
Merkur / Speick

Still looking for a favorite USA-made cream to pair with my vintage Gillette..

Is there a razor made in Spain to pair with Lea/LaToja?

Back when I was shaving I had no idea where the stuff I was using was from. Still don’t know. I just picked a razor, a blade, a soap, a AS and went to town.

It all could have been manufactured 10 Miles down the road for all I know.

Might sound heretical here but get some USA made Barbasol.... to match your Gillette.

I don’t but I do get a little kick out of it when everything lines up.

I can't do it at this time. I use the WCS 84S razor, my Omega 11126 brush, Proraso Green tube shave cream, Pinaud Clubman A/S, and rotating through an assortment of blades from different countries.
