Anybody ever use their boar brushes with cream?

With my traveling I'm limited to one brush. I took my go to brush which is a Omega Pro 49. I did however come across a few creams here in Europe and am dying to try them out. I tried out Palmolive SC with my 49 today and I got to say it was quite nice. The 49 seems to be a very big lather hog with creams but other than that I can't complain.

What about you guys? Ever use boars with creams?

I use an omega pro 49 as my daily brush and it does well with anything I throw at it :thumbup1:.

I have noticed that I seem to get better results with soaps and creams when I face lather with the 49.

A big +1 on both the above mentioned statements!

I have 2 Semogue boar brushes and I use them with creams and soaps alike.
They are nicely broken and perform very well!

Absolutely. I have a Semogue 1305 as well as an Omega and a Boreal. All are great with either soaps or cremes. Even my old VDH Deluxe - my first brush -gets a regular workout with cremes. I especially like the boars for face lathering cremes.

My go-to brush for a long time has been a Penworks Best Badger. It has been a fine brush. I had been looking to try a nicer boar than the VDH I started with, so I bought a Semogue 1305. I am very impressed with it. It does well with soaps and creams(I only bowl lather, FWIW). I use creams about 6 days a week. I'm afraid my badger brush is gonna gather a lot of dust for a while.

I have an Omega 10065 and tried it a few times with cream-- TOB and T&H--and it it produces a rich cream equal to my Simpsons Commodore X1. The only difference, and it is noticeable, is that the Omega will take twice as long to produce an equal lather to the Commodore. If I had a higher end boar, such as an Omega pro model or Semogue, it would probably cut the time.
