What's new

Anybody ever get MWF from that UK seller on eBay?

Sheep_delight, specifically. I used a currency conversion calculator and discovered that it's a little cheaper from them than it is at any of our established companies/websites/vendors we buy from.

I really want to try it, but I simply can't justify dropping upwards of $40 on it (the jar version). I just wanted to see if any of you gents have ever gone this route, and if so, whether or not you were happy with the experience.

Thanks in advance!

I bought mine from a local vendor in Australia. I think it's better for local economy, sure, it's more expensive, I didn't get the bowl, just the refill is much cheaper.

In most cases, I'd be fine with simply buying a refill puck. That Mitchell's bowl is like a work of art in my eyes, though.

Also, point taken about buying local. I understand it. I really do. As a poor man, though, I have to operate on sheer practicality here.

You can get Kent soap (same soap) in a wood bowl shipped direct from Kent's ebay store for just over $20. including shipping.

I always buy my MWF from carbolicsoap.com. Great price for refill and ceramic dish. Check it out.

I bought mine from a local vendor in Portugal.
The version with the bowl (a beautiful piece of art) and using a promotion, cost me about €19, including shipping.
Not bad at all! :)

I just checked out the Kent soap that's supposed to be the same, but the description mentions it being scented with patchouli, lavender, and clove, etc.

I thought MWF was unscented... right? Please correct me if I'm wrong. I really know nothing about the stuff aside from the fact that everyone loves it.

I got mine from the Kent store on eBay. Came in a wooden bowl and certainly doesn't smell like patchouli, lavender or clove but I wouldn't mind if it did! The smell is non distinct to me, which is fine, too.

MWF has a very light scent. Almost like laundry dried on a clothesline on a warm breezy summers day. Currency conversion or not, you can't beat West Coast Shavings deal at $35. They ship quickly, and are a really trusted vendor. Order it tonight and you will shaving with it by Friday.

WCS is where I do most of my supply shopping, in fact. I'm having a login issue since the site changed over, though, and it's yet to be resolved.

$35 US dollars?!?! That's too much expensive...

You can find the version with a bowl at shaving.ie for €17.99 (about $22 USD).
This Irish shop is a really trusted vendor, has fast delivery times and Chris, the shop owner, is a fine gentleman.

about the login problems just in case you didn't know you need to reset your password if you haven't already after the change.
