What's new

Any Word, Rumors or Speculation on a Semogue 2013 LE?

They've done something for the past few years now, and they are usually great brushes.

So does anyone know anything, think you heard something, or just wanna speculate, opine or share your hope fors? :biggrin1:

I didn't see one but then again I do not follow Semogue very closely. They did one for another forum but not a general LE as far as I know.

Yep, there was one! It came and went in a matter of hours. It was a special turned horn handle with a new badger knot. It cost something like 130 euro and only 100 made. Looked nice, but way out of my league.

I suppose you could call the RazoRock Amici a Semogue LE. Joe posted the picture and it's made by Semogue, only 100 :)

I believe that was a forum LE. Still nada about a SE for the public AFAIK.

There's a group buy for Semogues running right now at the portuguese forum Barbear Clássico.
There's a choice of boar, mix or badger.

I'll be adding a Select Silvertip to the collection soon, whether or not it is this one depends on what Bruno decides on those horn handles.

The 2013 SE silvertip in an olive wood handle will be available from Bullgoose and Lee's Razors shortly. This is what they just posted this morning over at The Shave Nook.

Im going to pass on this one. Just doesn't do much for me, and I already have the '11 LE Badger.

Whats up with the horn handles? I thought those were old news and long gone?

Yea, but they'll charge more. They always do, and no one beats Vintage Scent... If you don't mind having to pick up your brush at the PO! Plus for me, sadly, I never order from Bullgoose for the crappy fact that he has to charge me CA sales tax. Not his fault though.

The newer Semogue Finest Badger horn handle brushes were released at Vintage Scent on or around Feb 21 in 3 handle sizes.

Size 1

Size 2

Size 3

I ordered a size 2 on the 22nd. It should be here any day now. Can't wait to try it. I'm not sure how many were made
but they sold out rather quickly.

Hi gents.

I have 3 new models in Asian waterbuffalo horn handles.
I had a few made, since it's expensive material.
Be sure not to miss these!

Thanks

Bruno made this post yesterday.

Any more of these coming in?

Hi.

Yes, I'm thinking on making some more in horn. I have to decide if people prefer the Selected Silvertip or the Finest badger hair.

I have this knot in the horn handle. The knot is almost identical to Shavemac d01 three band and is equally as dense. Given that a similar priced Shavemac will run about $150 US + shipping, this LE at around $110 is good value. As long as your okay with handle, this is a great brush.

How could you NOT want this???
