What's new

Any Truefitt and Hill fans out there?

I ordered the "everything" sample pack from T&H a while back and have been working my way through the shaving creams and balms that were included. Today I tried the Grafton. Sweet Jesus! That is incredible stuff, and the scent of both the cream and ASB is awesome! Provided a nice cushioned shave, and the aftershave balm does an outstanding job of soothing without oiliness. I finished if off with some Chanel Platinum Egoiste cologne, and my SWMBO's primal instincts had her on me like white on rice. This is great stuff in my opinion.

Truefitt & Hill is a top quality brand.
Or, to be more precise, one of the very best available anywhere.
I have three lines that I truly love: the Ultimate Comfort, the 1805 and the West Indian Limes.
Simply outstanding!

The Grafton is amazing as well. But there's someting about the Ultimate Comfort line that I love. There ASB is amazing as well. Moisturizing but has a splash of alcohol or something that gives a nice tingle.

I have tried the Traflagar and Grafton so far. I have samples left for the Ultimate Comfort, 1805, and Limes yet to go. Traflagar was nice, but I much prefer the scent of the Grafton. I've heard great things about 1805 and West Indian Limes and am looking forward to trying them in the coming days.

I went through a sample pack and was sold. I love their stuff but don't love their prices as much. I recently discovered Godrej which is my mind is as good although nothing near the T&H scents

Oh Yeah... T&H
And the BB10 discount code helps even more :thumbup1:

I too had the everything sampler and found that 1805 and Freshman just wasn't me.

I have the complete Grafton and Limes collection (tub, tube, ASB and AS)with the Trafalgar being my next collection to obtain. I also have their Spanish Leather AS.

I compare my GFT Spanish Leather and Limes to the T&H versions and find the T&H version to have longer staying power.

I also use their shaving soap, mostly mixed as a base with the cream scent of the week, but alone it feels good too.

I am also working my way through the sample pack and have to say that the Spanish Leather has gone straight in to my top three. The West Indian Limes did not impress to begin with ; 'washing up liquid' my immediate thought. Mellows down though and reminded me of Pens BB (My No.1) but lacking something. Could be a first layer though and would save my precious BB.

I have the T&H limes SC and ASB. Its the only line I've tried and its one of my favorites. Can't wait to try some other scents :)

My first "high end " shave cream purchase was Trafalgar . I really liked the scent .
Still have 50% left . Also got the T & H sampler pack (was only $6 at a shave shop here in Vancouver ) . So far the West Indies Lime smells like furniture polish , the 1805 smells like the barnacle on the bottom of a boat ( nautical theme I suppose ) , Grafton I like and working my way through the others .

Cheers and enjoy the glide ,

Scott

I love T&H. I've tried many of their lines and have bought Trafalgar SC, ASB and EDT as well as the preshave oil and a T&H super brush. Their products are top notch, although somewhat pricey, but hey, you get what you pay for.

I definitely like the performance of T&H's stuff (I'm also whipping through the samples), but the scents are fairly forgettable. To me, a scent is worth paying full price for if I can, at any time, remember it. I remember liking Trafalgar and Grafton's scents, but I don't remember the scents themselves. I do remember West Indian Limes, but in a negative way (the aftershave smells like Froot Loops, and the cream definitely has some sort of citrusy cleaner taint to it...for lime scent, Trumper wins hands-down). Granted, I haven't tried the Ultimate Comfort or 1805 yet.

Trumper GFT, on the other hand, is a scent that IMMEDIATELY evokes a strong scent memory, and will be a forthcoming purchase. Trumper Rose evokes a strong scent memory. Trumper Almond evokes a strong scent memory. Is there a pattern to this? :001_tongu
