I want a different handle for my Fatip so, the threading is a hard one to match. After pondering milling out a stainless one to put in a plug threaded correctly, or some sort of thread adaptor, the expense and hassle really started to mount to the point of being impractical.
This got me thinking about swapping the top cap from a Muhle or Edwin Jagger or something else to match the shape and dimensions of Fatip cover with the more standard M5x0.8 threading.
Ignoring the cost of the new handle as delivered from the maker, ~$50 of machining, possible refinishing, or more is just not worth it for a $20~$25 razor.
What top caps should I consider or, perhaps I have overlooked some other option?
