Any Tallow Soapmakers on the forum?

I'm just wondering how many of us have tried making our own shaving soap. Not the melt and pour kind, rather the kind with tallow-y goodness. I'm wondering what kind of success you've had.

I started making soap about 5 years ago and since my voyage into DE shaving, have started producing my own shaving soaps. Quality-wise, they're excellent...and hell, they even smell great! I have seen talk of the shavepocolypse and figured I shan't be caught without the means to shave. I've been watching all the reformulation of tallow-based soaps, and it has made me sad. All in the name of being eco-friendly or whatnot. I figure there are plenty of people eating steaks and burgers out there and all the byproducts--in this case, the fat--has to go someplace; why not put a smile on some man's face?

If you have some samples of the Tallow goodness would love to give them a go.
I doooooo love the tallow soaps
Shoot me a PM or post here. I'd be glad to pay the postage to check them out.

Excellent question BTW! Folks dont often think to ask that, but...with a forum with this many members...I'm sure we could find a kiltmaker too!
