Any Starbucks Verismo fans?

I read the milk capsules were gross..it's powdered into liquid..though the coffee and espresso is 19 bars of pressure as is the same bars of pressure compared to the Nespresso machine...the Verismo coffee was rated as good as a barista would make in store..so...comments/thoughts...

Verisimo machine tastes horrible with any of their coffees or espressos. I have one and have tried them all and it is lacking big time. Get the nespresso machine instead it's much better!

my wife is obsessed with her 4yr old Nespresso 100 model..just curious if the Verismo is even worth considering..I drink instant and am tired of brewing my own coffee..lol

I can't see any benefit too it.

Everything I have read says the milk pods are horrifically gross. That eliminates any reason for purchasing the machine over a Keurig (K Cup) machine. Unless you really love espresso, but even they there are other methods available, that probably produce a superior cup.

If you add in the fact that there are presently only 5 coffees made for the machine, all by Starbucks, and all at double the cost of K-Cups, there is ZERO benefit to buying this machine.

You could buy an entry level Keurig for less than $100 on sale, and it would open you up to a vastly larger line than just the 5 coffees Starbucks offers. And if you love Starbucks they make their coffee in K Cups too.

The Keurig will make tea, and hot coco as well.

Lastly, the patent on K-Cups expired recently, so in theory the cost of K-Cups should fall soon.

I think there are 12 different brands that manufacture coffee in the K Cup format. There's a pretty wide variety of coffee roasts, and coffee origins. It's probably unfair to lump all of the coffee choices together under "keurig coffee", as the quality of the coffee has more to do with the coffee purchased, rather than the machine itself. Folger's makes their coffee in a K-Cup, but it's the same sucky coffee you would get from a can.

Yea..but pressure bars is also very important to get a good strong cup or full bodied coffee cup...Nespresso and Verismo is said to be 19...Keurig is said to be 15

Who is providing the ratings? Always consider the source (and its relevance to you).

Seems like ultimately you'd need to try one if you're curious about it.

Again, depends on the source. I can't say I've tried every K-cup or Vue pack out there but none of them have been suited to me and I do lump them all together. YMMV as with any subjective matter.
