Any recommendations for a light facial moisturizer like Kiehl's Ultra Facial?

Hey guys,

I've been using Jergens Shea Butter as a body + face lotion for years and it has been fine. But I recently decided to try using Kiehl's Ultra Facial moisturizer on my face, and I've realized that I like it way way better. Mainly because it is way less greasy and heavy compared to the Jergens, and it disappears into my skin in seconds and yet keeps my face nicely moisturized! Maybe even better so than the Jergens. Not sure how that's possible since the Jergens is so greasy, but anyway it seems to be doing a great job.

Unfortunately I've gone through the little tub way faster than expected and I've realized I can't afford to use this on a regular basis. So I'm wondering if anyone has recommendations for something that is specifically meant for the face, is light, moisturizes very well without leaving my face greasy and doesn't smell too strong.

Any recommendations would be appreciated!

I've avoided any type of cream or balm for a year now and my face has become completely clear of redness and dryness as a result. I now use Witch Hazel followed by an alcohol-based aftershave splash. World of difference for me...

If you have dry skin then Nivea sensitive skin balm is cheap and readily available. The skin on my nose can get dry at times and when it does I use just a little Nivea to take care of it.

Thanks for the witch hazel rec. I've considered it before, but I do actually enjoy how my skin feels after using a light moisturizer.

Not particularly dry actually. I've heard people say that Nivea moisturizers are quite nice. I might give that a try thanks!

Cremo Moisurizer. It is what I use and my criteria sound the same as yours.

This sounds quite perfect actually! I've seen their shaving creams at the drugstore with a full rebate on them. But the bold statements on it and the design made it look like one of those as seen on tv gimmicky products and I stayed away from it. But after going through their website and reading what they do, it sounds like their products might be pretty good! I'm definitely going to stop by Walgreens or Duane Reade tomorrow to see if I can find some.

Thanks guys!

Just to be clear, I'm recommending the Cremo Face Moisturizer. The Cremo Cream that they have in my drugstore is their special shaving cream. Totally different product -- I have both and they are not at all similar. The moisturizer cream is a disappearing cream that moisturizes without feeling greasy. It feels like moisture that just immediately soaks in.

I have trouble finding it. Had to order some off Amazon. But a little goes a long way.

Oh I know. I was just talking in general about their company, products and branding. Just bought a bottle and will try it out soon! Luckily its easy to find anything in NYC.

I have been using Eucerin as my aftershave to save money. It's actually pretty good and you can buy Eucerin moisturizer in varying degrees of "thickness." I used to use L'Occitane and Sabon aftershave creams and to me, those are the cream of the crop but like you said, they get expensive b/c you go through them quick.

Neutrogena has some men's products that I really like. You can get them at your local drugstore and, IMHO, they meet your criteria.

So I've been using the Cremo for the past few days, but I don't think this is going to work out for me.

It is extremely non greasy which is cool, but at the same time it does not leave my face feeling moisturized. My skin is left feeling a bit tight even after I used a generous amount of it.

I'm going to see if I can return it and try the Eucerin or Neutrogena maybe.

This may be on the higher side, budget-wise but I have been looking at Nancy Boy products the past few days. I do not have experience with them but wanted to pass along the brand so you can make your own determination.

I use Cerave AM/PM. The AM gives me SPF 30 as well as having a pump that limits the amount I would use. From what I've seen, water-based moisturizers tend to be less greasy than oil-based ones.
