What's new

Any opinions or experience with this brush?

I currently use a Parker Blue handled Black Badger brush as my daily shaver and it performs well beyond the price I paid for it. That being said if you don’t mind a bit of backbone and scritch it’s perfect. This is the only Parker I’ve owned but am more than satisfied with the purchase.

I have the chrome handled silvertip. I have had it for 3-4 years now I think. I got it on Amazon.com, and if I recall correctly I paid in the ballpark of $55-60. I am more than pleased with the performance, and it's my daily brush.

The Parker emblem basically whiped off the chrome like a week after use. The paint just couldn't stick to the chrome. It didn't leave any visible marks so it just looks like a plain, untagged, chrome handle. The handle has some nice weight to it.

The knot is a SOLID performer. It is great for face lathering (like I said: daily brush), and it more than gets the job done for bowl lathering. It loads well with all the hard soaps I use and holds more than enough lather for at least 3 passes and doesn't hog any lather. The only cream I use is AOS, and it works great for that too.

This brush is the reason my brush collection is so small, because I rarely think of ever needing to try something new in the brush department.

If I missed anything specific on the brush that you are looking for, feel free to ask, or drop a PM.

thanks for the info! sounds like i know what my next brush will be :)
i plan on getting the olivewood handle.

I have the chrome parker and a wood handle parker. The chrome parker is best because it holds the heat from the hot longer. The Parker brushes are nice but kind of pricey. I bought a couple silver tip badger chinese brushes off eBay for like 10 bucks a piece. Yeah, the Chinese are a little smaller but the hair of silver tip badger is the same, so if you want to spend 50-60 bucks on a brush, go ahead, for me, the ten dollars brushes work just as good.
