For the last 3 months I have been just shaving on the weekend.
I dont need to shave for work, so partly down to lazyness, the cold weather and life generally getting in the way I have just left it.
It felt so good to shave off a weeks worth of growth with such minimal irritation, just some stinging when I applied some aftershave balm.
1) Today I shaved with a lather of Nivea shaving gel applied by a brush, left it on for a minute then washed it off with warm water.
2) Applied a warm towel
3) Applied some Taylors cream with the same brush & shaved my face with my shavette, then shaved my neck area with the merkur futur (set on 1.5)
4) Lathered up some Taylors cream again
5) Warm towel on face and wiped off excess cream, then applied some Taylors cream again
6) Trimmed sideburns with the shavette, then shaved the whole face/neck area with the merkur futur (set on 2)
7) Wiped off any left over cream with a warm towel
8) Rubbed ice cube over face & neck area
9) Dabbed face dry with towel
10) Applied Marks & Spencers "Woodspice" afterhsave balm.
Any others on here? Longtime once a week shavers? Your tips/ advice would be welcome.
