Any of you gentlemen playing Mafia Wars on Facebook?

I can't look at FB at the moment (work) but what is it? Role playing?

I've had requests from certain folks on Facebook but never thought much about it. Most of the time, what's good enough for the gentlemen of B&B is good enough for me... I'm interested, Can we get a synopsis of how it works?

Some of my friends play it, but the only reason I check facebook is for the banter. I think some / most of them have moved on to a farming game, judging by some of their posts.

What is it with Mafia Wars?? It must be pretty good, I constantly get invites from friends and family to play.

If it's anything like other Mafia games, you are basically put into two groups. Usually one is the Mafia and the others are the townspeople (or non-Mafia). The Mafia know who is Mafia but the townspeople don't. Each day every group votes a person to die. The group who kills the other group first wins. Sometimes some townspeople have "powers", such as being told the name of a mafia member. There are so many more things that can be thrown in, though. It's pretty fun.

i play MAFIA WARS, but have no clue why it's so appealing.

perhaps because it only takes 10 min before everything runs out?

I play too.. It's frustrating when you run out of stamina and energy so quickly. Send me a PM if you want to join my mafia though!

My brother and I bought a house together about 10 years ago before I got married and he would sit on that darn computer every night without fail playing some game until the early A.M. If we had plans I would lie to him about what time so we could be where we needed to be on time, or close to it. I guess after seeing that I have never even tried playing any of these games. My husband is in the IT field and he says the majority of the guys he works with are game junkies too.
