Any metal detectorists here?

Short hunt in a park near my house yielded a 1943 Winged Liberty Head dime.

This showed up today as a late Father’s Day gift. My MIL lives in a house where the original part was built in the 1700’s. I’ll be there for a week, I’m looking forward to trying it out.

First detecting trip in a while (the beginning of the year). At a new permission. I'm having to get re acquainted with detecting and with the different machines haha. My confidence was high! Within the first few holes I found a neat old token and my second ever indian head cent! Year is 1892! I thought I was in for a great time digging all sorts of neat old coins lol. But sadly the only other old coin I found was a 1917 wheat cent. Did find part of a plow blade and a silver ring! Along with a good bit of modern coins and trash galore. Hoping to go back again soon and really pick through the iron and trash.

Detector: nokta legend

Got to do some detecting this yesterday. Turned out to be a great day! Found 4 silver coins (most I've found in a day)! Not only that but the silver finds were pretty big. Two silver dimes, a silver quarter (second one I've ever found lol), and my first half dollar of any kind. It so happened to be a walking liberty half too! I about came out of my skin when I saw it in the hole 🤣. Also found 3 Wheaties. It was a very good day!

Your first quarter is from a year the U.S. declared war on Germany.
Your other quarter is from a year after the U.S. declared another war on Germany.

Got to do some detecting this past weekend. A local park that doesn't look like anyone had detected before just by the volume of targets haha. Did pretty well. Took along the fisher f70 and teknetics patriot. Had a good time but my allergies are paying for it due to the pollen haha. The coin count is 12 quarters, 25 dimes, 11 nickels, 56 pennies, 1 knife (in the playground of all places), a button, some lead, and some other random stuff.
