Any Ideas On This Soft White Stone?

Any suggestions as to what this stone might be?
Colour is beige/off white.
It’s soft and porous like sandstone and has small glittery particles in it.
It measures 212mm x 53mm x 12mm.

There is some discolouration which could be faint banding.
And reading up on Hindostan stones this could be a good match.
The previous owner said this stone was good for sharpening penknives.
