Gonna be in Inverness, St. Andrews, and Edinburgh. I'm thinking the pubs I shall probably be able to find on my own, but are there any shave shops in those locales that are worth stopping in?

Definitely the pubs on the royal mile and in the grass market.
Try a batter burger.
The only thing I can think of for shave shops in Scotland would be supermarkets and the odd pharmacy.
Mostly real shave company, wilkinson sword soap and Palmolive cream and soap.
