Depends on which bay rum you're looking for. I acquired my bottle of Pinaud Bay Rum at Walgreens.

Sallys Beauty Supplies carries Master Bay Rum.
When it comes to brick and mortar stores I have found treasures in locally owned beauty supply stores.
Granted they focus on hair salon products but you will be surprised that some carry barber supplies.

Here's my experience (YMMV etc...):
Pinaud Bay Rum - available at Walgreens, but not every store. Check out their online search function to check if a local store carries it, and call to verify before your journey
Domenica Bay Rum - available from Orvis, but again, not every store stocks it. Call first to verify
Masters Bay Rum - available in every Sally's Beauty Supply that I've ever been in here in NC.
Royall Bay Rum - available at both J&R Cigars outlet that I've tried here in NC.
C.O. Bigelow's Bay Rum - available at some (but few) B&BW's. Again, call to confirm. I heard when I was in my local B&BW that they're bringing out a new "color" of Bigelow Barber Elixir (white) that will be bay-rum-like on the second of Nov, and that they will be expanding their Bigelow line to include the bay rum splash and balm at certain stores in the future.

Thanks all for the advice.
Colonial Drug near Harvard usually carries Bay Rum aftershaves. You'd have to give them a call to see what they have.

The Royall Bay Rhum (which happens to be my personal favorite) is available at Brooks Brothers, but that's probably not the most cost-effective way to get it. Pasteur's Pharmacy in NYC has a few to choose from as well, if you are near NYC.

I know you are asking for a place to pick up Bay Rum locally, but I would highly recommend Ogallala Bay Rum aftershave. You would have to order it online, but I find that stuff not only works wonders on my face after a shave, but also smells great. Customer service there is also superb.
