Any body use Colgate Shaving Soap??

I have off and on for years and it has done me a good job so far. It is still found for under $1.50 at my Local HEB store.

Anybody else using this????

i like the stuff.it gives me good results esp. as i have a tendancy to use it in the shower as a shave stick.but i think it is OOP now.so grab up all the pucks you can.

During my school days, I could get Colgate in the red & white box as well as Wiliams at the Univ. Drug Store for about 39 or 49 cents a puck (yeah, I'm dating myself) I liked the scent of the Colgate better than anything else I can remember and it lathered well. Unfortunately, the lather was already dry less than half way into my shave.:frown: I stuck with the Williams.

I used to use it interchangably with Williams over the years.. I probably haven't seen it in about 4 years (??).. To be honest I never really noticed a difference between the two.. of course, I'd buy it again just to see if my memory serves me correctly.

I've also been meaning to try the other cheapies (Marvy and Masters) just to see what I can do with them.. (I'm always up for a challenge)

Yep, as far as I know it has been awhile since it's been in production. It's funny that you mention the HEB, because the last time I purchased any Colgate was when the HEB near me (when I lived in Austin) had marked their remaining inventory of Colgate soap down to 5/1.00. That would have been about four or five years ago. They ended up being used as shower pucks.

Keep in mind, I was exclusively using Old Spice soap at the time, so I may have looked at the Colgate a bit unfairly.

Tried the Colgate once and didn't like it. I could probably get better lather out of a bar of Dial soap. I also recall the stuff being clearance priced about 5 years ago and I haven't seen it for sale anywhere since then.

I stocked up and I am on my last bar. I bought Van der Hagen at Sallys Beauty and Barber supply last week.
