What's new

Antique store lot.

I got my lot of new shaving gear today. In it was three razors. The big wedge I posted in my thread abouit how rusty a wedge can be. The other two I will post here.

First up is the American razor. I think it's a near wedge? I'm not good at judging grinds. the tang reads: H. & C.W. King, 80 Chambers Street, New York. I think the scales are horn too, with a lead wedge. They are in pretty good shape.

Next up is the John Bert Cutlery 33, on the Blade it says The Austin. On the back of the tang it reads extra ground and mfg. in Germany.

Sorry about the crappy pics.... I have a crappy camera.

Hunting in the wild is 100 times more fun than online.

I used to go hunting for books... and I agree! It is much more fun to find nice stuff in the wild. It's like a treasure hunt.

My goal, when it warms up, is to find at least one nice razor in the wild.

Nice scores, Skrymr! :001_smile

Thanks. I enjoy looking almost as much as finding. There are three local stores that usually have something.

Is it cheating if the store owners contact you to let you know they got something new in?
