Found this razor this morning. Had to barter for it but got a really good deal, a steal really. However, the adjustment mechanism and last quarter turn weren't working so a bit of a risk. In the end it turned out to be a risk worth taking. Now works perfectly, had a wonderful shave this evening with it. A bit of plating loss, a few water marks but otherwise looks great.

Still have not given it a proper polish but I think I'll probably leave it as is, give it another over night soak in hot, soapy water. There are places where the plating is rather thin so I thought it best just to leave well enough alone.
As a work horse, you don't get much better than this.
