What's new

Another question from a soon to be addict.....

I've accumulated a few vintage brushes. By vintage I mean small colorful plastic handles, most in two colors, no loft or bloom. Just cylindrical bristles, many marked "Sanitized."

Do you use these at all? If not, what do you do with them? Most of mine came in lots that were purchased for the razors.

Thanks in advance,
Evan

As long as they are not useable or complete collectors items (vintage Rooney or Simpsons), most people remove the old knots and replace them with new badger or boar knots from thegoldennib.com

Post some photos if you can and everyone will be glad to give you advice on which ones to keep as is and which ones to restore into use.

Pics of the brushes will definitely help with our recommendations. Most of the vintage brushes I have picked up (EverReady, Anchorset, Fuller), I have reknotted. I did have a couple of vintage Rooney and Simpson brushes that I did not reknot as the original knots were still in very good shape.
