What's new

Another Injector fan !

One shave with my ebay schick injector purchase and all I read here was spot on.
Very fast shave, seemed to have a lot of confidence in the razor.
Prep was not as good as usual but there was so much forgiveness it didn't seem to matter.

Thanks for the advice !

Glad you like it! Which model is it?

This is all the listing I bought if from said. But you maybe able to tell more from the picture.

"Vintage SCHICK Eversharp Injector Safety Razor Antique (0201-2)"

I've had a couple of shaves now with a Schick Adjustable. I'm still wondering what the hype is about. to me it is very much like using a cartridge, it is lightweight so you must use pressure to get a result and the blades don't seem terribly sharp compared to any DE blade I've used - I'm using Personna PTFEs from connaughtshaving.

This is me as we'll. I have no less than five injector razors. E, G, H (x2) and J Types. I have and M in transit from the BST. I'm really hoping to find some magic with the M.
It seems that maybe it's the blade thickness that I don't like. I love the head design but that's about it. I too have not been able to find a blade that seems sharp enough. If the M being hopefully more aggressive than the E doesn't impress me, there will be a sell off.

Oh yeah, got an injector last week. put me down as a fan!

after searching for a few days i finally found a store that carried the blades. I shaved with it yesterday, and i love it. A very close shave and zero cuts/nicks.

If you look at some of Shick's advertising the razors (especially the later ones) are designed so that a bit of pressure helps the safety bar stretch out skin and "tees up whiskers" so that they are cut closer to the base.

A thick protective layer of lather is not necessary. The instructions that came with the Shick Hydro-Magics state that a final pass with water only (no lather) works well.

That's what I do and it provides great results
