Any idea what this could be? The only marking is a stamp Made in Germany. It comes in the tiny case with the handle unscrewing into two parts which fits one inside the other. The handle is light weight but the head has a little weight. It is very shiny and clean so I didn't know if it is old or new. Thanks.

Do you know if they are being sold as new or vintage? I picked it up for $1 at an estate sale. The house was old but it was filled with 1,000s of things. I found this inside the medicine cabinet of a 22 room 8,000sq ft house. Some things looked newer than others so I can't tell.
I keep seeing them sold as vintage, but I know about as much as you do. I'd wait for Guido to come solve this one. 
By the way, how do you find out about these 'estate sales' I always hear about? I'd love to be able to go to one someday and try out my luck.

Under garage sale in the paper.I keep seeing them sold as vintage, but I know about as much as you do. I'd wait for Guido to come solve this one.

They'll usually post signs in the area as well. Don't pay much attention while on the road there, eh Jim?

Well, to be honest, I haven't driven in about 7-ish months now. That, and the fact that there are always garage sale signs near military posts make me kind of ignore them...

Shouldn't ignore them. This week was a bust though. Went to about 17 (11 on one street) and got nothing other than this German one.
