What's new

Another help me ID something

what is this razor, it is some form of flare tip SS but I can't find pictures of the same handle pattern. It is A4 dated, i also have two more that are dated C3. It appears that all three have lost the plating on the handle, except the knob, and it is aluminum under the plating (like i said appears that way). Two of the work fine and one works but when you twist to the most open position if you keep twisting the head twists free of the handle but it still closes tight. I am probably going to sacrifice that one to my engineer's curiosity of how things work and strip it down.

oh and yes i know it is in bad shape, it was part of a fleabay lot that i got some nice finds out of. I am going to PIF the nicest on to a newbie with some assorted blades.

I think that it is a Blue Tip Super Speed, but the paint has worn off the TTO knob. The knurling pattern looks right for a Blue Tip. And the wiki reports that the Blue Tip Super Speeds had aluminum handles. So, I'd guess a Blue Tip.

I think someone thought that the paint didn't belong there and used some powerful stripper to remove it and in the process ate up some parts of the handle.
