Another first-time-shave with Jabonman!

Jabonman lime-cinnamon arrived today. Got it used, on the BST. WOW. Was going to wait until tomorrow to shave but of course, I had to lather it up right away, and then had to well. just see what it felt like on my face, then of course I was shaving in no time flat... and without any prep. And holy smoke, what a great shave. Three passes. Had to stop myself from going in for a fourth. Man, it was nice. Had trouble getting a good lather at first. Had to really work it but realized I didn't have enough water so started adding and after a moment, it just exploded! Thick, creamy, springy, slick lather with lots of cushion! And what an interesting scent. It's sweet and spicy and musky too. Probably a bit too sweet for me but here it is, about an hour later and most of the sweet has dissipated leaving mostly a nice spicy musk. Skin feels really great too - probably the lanolin, which no doubt helps achieve the slickness and density of the lather. Curious to try one without lanolin for comparison. Definitely going to order a few cans from Spain. Very worth the shipping, etc. Have really never tried anything like it before. One impromptu quickie, and I'm hooked. Hats off to Jabonman! Now I have to find a new brush to do it justice...

These, IMHO, are the best non-tallow soaps available. That being said, these soaps are among my top 5. I reserve Fridays as my Jabonman days. Fits in well with my Cella Saturdays, Mitchell's Mondays, and Tabac Tuesdays!

Welcome to the Jabonman fan club! Manuel is a true expert craftsman when it comes to his soaps.

Thanks Riff, what a great club! BTW, that's 4 faves, what's your fifth? (I'm holding out on a guess...)

My fifth is DR Harris' Windsor. I love that stuff. I have a sample of the Marlborough but haven't tried it yet. I am also looking forward to eventually getting some Martin de Candre.

Almost picked up some of the Marlborough myself the other day but got the JM instead. And then yes, there's MdC. Haven't tried it yet either but I think I'm going to have to break down and order some - too many rave reviews. One probably couldn't go wrong; I think it's really simply a matter of cost but it sounds like it's so good that cost doesn't matter... (Trying to talk myself in to pulling the trigger, of course... LOL...)
