What's new

And I Have, Like, Nothing!

So SWMBO says to me this morning at breakfast, "You know, you have accumulated more toiletries in the past month or so, since you started 'this shaving thing' than I have in the past five years!" I told her I needed more space in the bathroom....

I can relate. But if i just used one cream at once it would take ages to go through all the brands. Having several on the go means there's a cream for any day/mood/skin condition.

Wifey is ready to shoot me. I keep saying the paypal is Christmas gifts for our son and son in law. Gotta throw someone under the bus!

It's a fine line between stupid and clever, isn't it? Women typically want their men to be more conscious of grooming and to use good products. But once the men are actually more into grooming than they are, it becomes too much. Maybe their femininity is threatened.

Not sure why but the wife always thinks my hobbies are a waste of time.

I finally come up with a decent list of possible christmas gifts (for me) and she doesn't think they are worth the money.

There was an episode of South Park on a similar premise.

In the end, the women realized that the crap that they complain about is very much what makes their men manly and attractive to them.

As long as I keep my spending in check, my wife is glad that I've taken an interest in maintaining a more professional appearance. At least that's what she told me before my last QED order. :001_tongu

Similar to what is happening with me and my soon to be wife. I ended up trading bathroom cleaning duties for extra counter space. Also made a trip to target and picked up an assortment of plastic drawer sets to keep soaps and blades in under the counter.

Actually I've been blessed. My wife has been after me for years to use products to take care of my skin. She is not upset at all with my purchases and has been making recommendations on shaving products I might want to try from stores where she shops. Although I think she would like me to slow down on the hardware purchases, however when we are out she will suggest stopping at antique shops to see if I can find something I would want. She even cleared two shelf areas in the bathroom and organized my stuff. I don't think I'll ever understand women.

I apparently have "too many razors!!!!!!". When I say that I only have a handful, I get: "SEEEEE!?!?!?!?!?!" :biggrin1:

My wife mention my accumulation of shaving gear and software once. I then offered to compare the cost and volume of my stuff vs. the cost and volume of her make up, lotions, hair care product, etc.

I don't think she'll ever bring it up again.

Hilarious! My wife has been using the same Venus handle for years and so she thinks I'm nuts. She'd never want a vintage Gillette.

I've done the Paypal thing, too (or Amazon). I just say I'm buying presents and she's not allowed to pry. Then I have to sneak my new stuff past her. One day she'll ask, "when did you buy that?" And I just look at it like yesterday's news and say, "I've had this for a while now."
