An asymmetric blade

Hi all

I'd like to share with you a puzzle that has been bothering me for some time now. I possess one (1) asymmetrical blade which I found almost 30 year ago and it has since been in my drawer. German is something like my fourth language but the package says "Für vor- und nachrasur" i.e. "For pre- and (after) shave" and "Mit 2 verschiedenen schneiden. Normalschliff u. hohlschliff" which translates along the lines "With two different cuts. Normal grinding and hollow grinding".

I have never heard of an asymmetric safety blade. On the other hand I am no expert. Can anyone shed light on this matter?

I would like to try the blade but on the other hand maybe some rich collector will allow me to retire early...

Best regards

ive never seen or heard of it before - but im not a blade collector, so thats not saying all too much.

methinks it was probably just a marketing gimmick

I don't know anything about it but I wouldn't recommend using it. Just looking at the edges it looks a little scary!
